I'm granting everyone access by default at DW, same as at LJ, because the same fics of mine that are flocked over there still are over here. If you do not want to grant me access, don't worry that I will be offended or anything--my giving you access is not a sign that I expect the same. I also subscribe to everyone by default, but that's mostly because my circle looked so LONELY when there wasn't anyone there. Anyway! Yeah. That is my take on DW friending stuff with this journal.

I gave everybody access aotomatically too- although to be honest wiuth you, I have no idea what "access" even means. I was hoping you might?

Access pretty much means that people can see your protected entries. On LJ, when you friend someone, you both add them to your friends-list (meaning you see their entries when you look at your flist) and also allow them to see see friends-only posts. On Dreamwidth, these two are separate--subscribing to someone means they show up on your reading list, granting them access means they can see your protected posts.
