This is some Jared POV from Call Me, Call Me for
jakekero! There is not a lot more to say.
Jared doesn't like Match.com. He barely ever goes on there, but it still insists on sending him e-mails with potential matches, and when he actually had his picture up (thanks, Megan), he got tons of e-mails, but Jared doesn't really like talking to people over the internet. He can't hear their voices or see their expressions, and he finds emoticons kind of weird. And unhelpful.
Besides, he's been uselessly pining for pretty, straight, oh-so-nearly-perfect Jensen Ackles for what feels like forever, and no one else really compares. Jared knows it's stupid and pathetic and completely never going to happen, but he can't help it. Jensen has the best smile, and the best blush, and Jared is an idiot, seriously.
So when Match.com sends him his daily matches and one of them is Jensen, it pretty much rocks his world and breaks his heart all at the same time.
Jensen likes guys--it's right there, right in his profile, for all the world to see. Jared has to smile as he skims the rest of the profile--parts of it are so Jensen, a little awkward and endearing, and Jared feels sort of wrong finding out about Jensen's secrets from here. Or, not secrets, but Jared wants to find out Jensen is interested in photography from Jensen.
He doesn't even realize he's going to send him a message until he already has it half written. He feels like a sleaze, hitting on Jensen through the anonymity of the internet when Jensen has already turned him down in person, but he can't help it.
He's been gone since the first day.

Hey, man,
So, full disclosure, I'm pretty bad at these e-mails. I'm more of an in-person kind of guy, you know? But it's worth a shot, right?
Anyway, I saw in your profile that you like photography, which is seriously cool. Although I dunno if I could actually go out with a Mavs fan. There are lines that can't be crossed.
I'm gonna stop this now. My profile's got my info, so I won't bore you with it again. If you want to chat, just send me an e-mail back. Maybe we could meet up sometime. Whatever you want.

Jared is twitchy and worried and completely crazy waiting for Jensen to reply. He doesn't think Jensen will be able to figure out it's him, but that doesn't make it better. If Jensen really isn't in to tall giant guys (and he must not be) then even if Jared manages to charm him online, when they meet up, he'll still be Jared.
A guy Jensen has absolutely no interest in.
"I am going to go crazy," Jared moans, dropping his forehead onto the table.
Genevieve sounds like she's trying not laugh. "So you're in love with this guy, and he won't date you, so now you've started stalking him to cyberspace?"
"I didn't mean to," says Jared. "Match.com hooked us up. He said he was straight."
"So he lied to you about being straight and that didn't tip you off?"
Jared's phone beeps and he pulls it out, skimming over Jensen's newest e-mail. He starts to grin slowly. "He's bi. Newly bi!" Jared punches the air, grinning. "He might just--" he dims. "He might just still not be into me. I mean, he knows I'm into him. I'm not subtle."
Genevieve gives it up and starts laughing at him. "Sorry, sorry," she says. "Just--wow."
Jared gives her a lopsided grin. "Yeah, I know. Man."

After a lot of deliberation, a long talk with Genevieve, and about fifteen shots with inappropriate names, Jared decides to ask Jensen out.
He'll say that he just wanted to try, or just--the truth, maybe. That seeing Jensen is the highlight of his week, that even when he thought he had no chance he couldn't stop wanting, that he will never bother Jensen again, if Jensen asks him not to.
And then he gets the e-mail.
Yeah. But full disclosure:
1. I'm not putting out on the first date.
2. Drinks isn't a euphemism for anything else.
3. I'm a picky bastard.
4. I've got a type.
5. It's maybe this really hot guy from my gym, I'm not sure.
6. This might not go anywhere.
Just so you know.
There could be another hot guy at Jensen's gym. It could be a thousand other people.
But Jared's an optimist. Jared has a date with Jensen, and he might be Jensen's type.
It's gonna be okay.
