CWRPS fic: Re: The Closet (Jared/Jensen)

So this was going to be longer and more coherent and less totally schmoopy.

But then Barack Obama won the election and the happiness was too much for me to think about doing anything other than happy happy things.

So.

Happy!

The Supernatural AU side of this will hopefully get an update tomorrow, I just did want to get something up today. In keeping with my updating goals.

"What are we gonna tell them?" asks Jared.

Jensen barely looks up from his book. He, for reasons beyond Jared, decided that it's a crime he's never read Harry Potter and is now trying to make it through the whole series before they start filming. Jared has already read Harry Potter, and therefore spends most of his time making up ridiculous spoilers and telling Jensen they all happen in the epilogue.

"Tell them about what?" asks Jensen.

"Us."

"They already know about us," says Jensen, flipping his page.

"They know?" asks Jared, more shrilly than he intended. "How?"

"Wait," says Jensen, blinking, "know what?"

Jared rubs his forehead. "We're dating, moron."

"Oh," says Jensen. "That."

"I can't believe you forgot," Jared grouses, flopping down next to Jensen on the couch. "Seriously, do we tell them?"

Jensen puts his bookmark in and leans his head against the back of the couch. "I dunno, Jared. Feel like maybe they deserve to know but...it's our business, not theirs."

"Yeah," Jared agrees. "But they might notice we live together."

"We're friends," says Jensen. "With two bedrooms."

Jared rolls his eyes. "They're gonna bust us in a week."

"It'll take at least a month."

Jared's eyes light up. "Wanna bet?"

"Oh honey," says Jared, draping his arms over Jensen's shoulders. "You treat me soooooo good."

"Cut," says Kim, glaring at Jared. "Once more with the lines as written, Padalecki."

"He's just so hard to resist," says Jared, with a dramatic sigh.

"I'll try to be more resistible, Kim," says Jensen.

Jared just grins.

Okay, so it's possible not his brightest move, trying to be the most blatant boyfriend in the world. But Jensen had bet him, which was stupid, and it's fun, and he doesn't really have much interest in the closet anyway. And if he thought Jensen really cared about staying below the radar, he'd worry, but Jensen just seems either happy or bemused most of the time, so Jared doesn't sweat it too much.

Really, it's not even hard to be all over Jensen all the time. They've been dating for a year and Jared's head-over-heels in love. It's kind of pathetic, how much he loves Jensen Ackles. His friends make fun of him about it. Jensen makes fun of him about it. Even if he's never exactly gotten the "I" and the "love" and the "you" together in a row in a serious sentence, he's pretty sure Jensen gets the point.

It's harder to not throw his arm around Jensen's shoulder when they're walking, to not lean down and nuzzle Jensen when he's being touchy, to not slip his hand into Jensen's just because he likes it.

"I think this is cheating," says Jensen mildly, when Jared sits down on his lap between takes. "Also, you weigh a fucking ton."

"Fine," says Jared, grinning wider. He gets up, lifts Jensen up, and sits down in his place, settling his boyfriend down in his lap.

"I hate you," says Jensen.

Jared cuddles him shamelessly. "You adore me."

"You're a jerk."

"No, you're a jerk. I'm a bitch. You should read the scripts."

Jensen shoves him, sort of ineffectually, because he's sitting on Jared, so he mostly just overbalances himself and nearly falls off Jared's lap.

Jared laughs.

"Get a room!" says Sera as she passes.

"We have one!" says Jared. He grins at Jensen. "Do I win yet?"

"She was probably joking," says Jensen.

"I am totally going to win," says Jared.

"You're molesting me in public," Jensen says.

"Yeah. So I'm really already winning."

Jared hadn't actually planned on getting a blowjob when he came to visit Jensen in his trailer, but there has never been a point in Jared's life when he's objected to getting a blowjob.

And it's not like Jensen sucking him off in the trailer is going to hurt his campaign to get everyone to realize they're actually dating for real; even if no one walks in (and Jared hopes they don't, mostly because he just wants his damn blowjob), he gets really obvious sex hair, and the hair and makeup girls will yell at him and he'll be completely honest about what happened.

Jared comes with a groan and Jensen grins, wipes his mouth off, and Jensen settles down next to him on the couch. "Kripke came to talk to me today," he says casually.

Jared takes a while to figure out what Jensen said, because he's never that coherent. "The guy who runs the show you're in talking to you? Why would that ever happen?"

"He told me he'd rather we were a little less touchy-feely in public," says Jensen easily. "Just in case people get candid shots and think it's spoilers."

"Huh?"

"Kripke knows we're fucking and wants you to tone it down."

"Yes!" Jared crows. "Man, I'm awesome. "What tipped him off?"

Jensen smirks. "The Dark Angel cast."

Jared blinks. "Wait, what?"

"They knew when they cast us."

Jared pouts. It's not that he minds, but he was really looking forward to molesting Jensen in public for a lot longer. "Can we do it as long as we're not in costume?"

Jensen just looks at him. "Wow. You are the gropiest guy ever."

"You love me anyway," says Jared easily.

"You know you're now out to the entire set of our show, right?"

"Yeah."

"You know that might get to other people, right?"

"Yeah."

Jensen looks baffled for a while. "And you don't mind?"

Jared grins, letting all the happiness in the world on his face. "You kidding?"

Jensen ducks his head. "Yeah," he says, "me neither."
